BTES TV+ is a new cable platform that offers live and on-demand cable content using an app-based experience. Customers will be able to watch their favorite channels through the BTES TV+ app on any BTES Internet-connected supported device. Customers will still have the familiarity of the live TV experience including local news and sports, cloud DVR, and access to video-on-demand.

  • Why is BTES TV+ delivered over the Internet?
    People want more control to watch what they want, when they want, and where they want. We're no longer tied to the television screen! You can watch BTES TV+ on other devices like phones, tablets, and laptops. And, BTES TV+ eliminates the need for wired set-top boxes and DVRs.
  • Why can't I watch BTES TV+ when I'm away from home?
    BTES TV+ only works when you are connected to BTES' Internet service. If you attempt to access the app from any IP address other than the one associated with your service address, you cannot stream live content. You may still be able to watch some recorded content and set up future recordings.
  • Can I add HBO, Cinemax, Starz, or Showtime to BTES TV+?
    Yes! Contact our Customer Experience Department at 423-968-1526 to make those additions to your account.
  • How do I add more DVR hours or more streams?

  • How do I set up a new profile?
    Users can create multiple profiles for an account so that each member of the household can have a personalized experience in terms of recommendations, recently watched, and more. Sign into watch.btes.tv from a web browser and click on the gear in the upper right corner. You can select "Manage Profiles" from there to add, delete, or modify a profile. To create a profile, select the 'Add New Profile' option (will not be available if the profile limit has been reached). You can select an image for the profile and input a name. Click Save when you are satisfied with the profile details and it will appear in the profile list across all devices. Select the pencil icon or the Edit option next to the profile you would like to edit on the profile list to edit a profile. This will allow you to make changes to the name or image associated with the profile. To delete a profile, you may click on the trashcan icon next to the profile you would like to delete on the profile list. A pop-up box will confirm that you want this profile to be deleted permanently.
  • What are parental controls?
    Parental controls enable users to restrict mature content. When parental controls are enabled, the user will need to enter a PIN to play any content with a parental guidance rating of TV-MA, R, NC-17 or NR regardless of the profile. In order to set up parental controls, sign into watch.btes.tv from a web browser and click on the gear icon on the upper right corner. From there, you can set up a PIN, which will remain until it is changed. When parental controls are enabled, they will take effect on all devices and profiles associated with the account. 
  • What is my username?
    Your username is the email address you gave us when you signed up for BTES TV+. 
  • How do I change the email address associated with my account?
    Give us a call at 423-968-1526 to update your email address. 
  • How do I change my password?
    Sign into watch.btes.tv from a web browser. If you have multiple profiles, select your admin profile (you may have renamed it) then select the gear in the upper right corner. From there, select the "Change Password" option and an email will be sent to your email.
  • What Smart TVs, streaming devices, and mobile devices are supported?
    The BTES TV+ app is compatible with many popular streaming devices such as Fire Stick and Google Chromecast, mobile devices such as Apple and Android smartphones, and smart TVs such as Apple TV and Samsung. Find a full list of compatible devices here.
  • How do I setup BTES TV+ on my device?
    Please visit our video library to watch a setup video for your device.
  • How do I record an individual episode?
    On an iPhone: From the guide, click on the episode and then select "Record" at the bottom of the screen. Or, from the "Shows" menu, search for or select the show and then select the specific episode you are wanting to record. Press the "Record" button and then select which date, time, and channel you would like it to record based on the list provided.

    On a web browser: From the guide, click on the episode and then select the "Record" button. Or, from the "Shows" menu, search for or select the show. Press "Series Details." From there, you can find the specific episode you are wanting to record.

    On a Fire Stick: From the guide, click on the episode and then select the "Record" button. Or, from the "Shows" menu, search for and select the show. Press the record button.
  • How do I record an entire series?
    On an iPhone: From the guide, click on the episode and then select "Record" at the bottom of the screen. Select "Record all episodes" when the popup comes up. Or, from the "Shows" menu, search for or select the show and then select the specific episode you are wanting to record. Press the "Record" button and then choose your options on the screen that comes up.

    On a web browser: From the guide, click on the episode and then select the "Record" button and then select "Record all episodes." Or, from the "Shows" menu, search for or select the show. Press "Record" and then make your selections.

    On a Fire Stick: From the guide, click on the episode and then select the "Record" button and then choose to "Record all episodes." Or, from the "Shows" menu, search for and select the show. Press the record button and then make your selections.
  • What is "play from beginning?"
    Clicking on the "play from beginning" option will start the current episode over from the beginning of the program.
  • How can I modify my scheduled recordings?
    Select your user profile icon in the main menu. From there you will be able to view and manage your recordings.
